4 Tips on Using Natural Hair Products

BEGIN WITH A CLARIFYING SHAMPOO
Before using any product on your natural child, be sure to clean their hair with a clarifying shampoo first, then deep condition with a moisturizing deep conditioner to replenish moisture. A clarifying shampoo allows you to start with a fresh clean slate so you can get a true assessment of how new products are working.

A LITTLE GOES A LONG Way
You only need a small amount in order to see if the product truly works. You might find that too much product creates a greasy mess! So before you douse your child’s hair in product, start with a small amount and build gradually.
GIVE IT TIME TO WORK
Your hair needs time to adjust to the product that it’s using. Oftentimes, people jump to the conclusion that a product doesn’t work because of user error. You have to train your child's hair to get accustomed to using all natural hair care products! As time goes by, and you become more comfortable working with it, you may find that your hair responds to it better over time.

CHANGE HOW YOU USE IT
Time is a huge factor towards a product’s success, but so is the way in which you use it. You may find that by combining the product with a certain oil, it offers much better results. You may find that it works better as a pre-poo, verses as a moisturizer for a wash-n-go, and vice versa. You may find that it works in a specific order with other products like using the L.O.C(Leave-in/Liquid, Oil, Cream) or L.C.O(Leave-in/Liquid, Cream, Oil) Method. Once you find a routine that works for your child's hair stick with it, CONSISTENCY is key!!
